If this pathetic and continuing attempt by Barry and the Democrats to literally "shove" through this ridiculous notion of healthcare "reform" legislation, even over the very loud objection of the American people has proven anything, it is that old adage that absolute power corrupts absolutely. And it would seem that even some of our more mediocre members of Congress are no longer be safe from mob style strong-arm tactics even in the shower. Especially since we now have a naked marauding Rahm "The Enforcer" Emanuel stalking the Congressional showers, running about and out to break, I mean twist, arms, as well as I suppose, any other "exposed" appendage that may be vulnerable and within his grasp. He continues with his typical modus operandi, threatening in all manner possible just enough members of Congress to get this thinly veiled government seizure of healthcare passed and onto Barry's desk. It's typical Chicago-style politics running amuck here that is now being utilized to trample on the will of the people in their efforts to get this healthcare non-reform, "reform" legislation enacted. I have read in several locations that Obamacare is dead but that Barry and the Democrats just don’t know it yet. However, in the back of mind I cannot bring myself to believe that it is truly dead until we have had the vote that determines that very fact. But even then, will it "really" be dead? Let’s face it, this is something that the Democrats have been literally salivating over for decades, going all the way back to FDR and they see this as being their one opportunity to get it done. So I think it very safe to say that Barry and the Democrats will never give up on their attempt to seize control of that most important thing to every single one of us, that being how it is that we go about obtaining our individual healthcare. Because as we should all know by now, this whole circus really has nothing to do with healthcare or the reforming of healthcare, or even healthcare insurance, it's all about the acquisition of power, raw, unadulterated power by our own government. To possess the power over our most private of decisions is the wet dream of Democrats like Barry, Harry and Nancy. And it was the one thing that Teddy "I got away with Murder" Kennedy dreamt of his entire political life. But with eighty percent of Americans liking their healthcare coverage, it is very plain to see that this government healthcare "reform" is much less about healthcare and more about government's involvement in that healthcare. It’s really nothing more than a hypocritically implemented con job.

The blatant dishonesty endlessly on display here should leave little or no doubt in anyone's mind regarding what Barry was talking about with all of his nauseating "hope and change" drivel. It's all about the "change" he wants to bring about with the rest of us all "hoping" we'll be able to survive it. To so willfully disregard the will of the people demonstrates a pathological behavior driven by a sinister motive by our president that borders on the possessing of criminal intent. It also very clearly demonstrates that Democrats, as a whole, have absolutely no principles whatsoever and should never to be trusted with anything of any importance. Democrats see themselves as owing absolutely no allegiance to those people who make up their constituents. The sole recipient of that allegiance is and always will be, the Party, and success in the meeting of the Party's agenda is always of the utmost importance. So it is not surprising that throughout this whole exercise in corruption, Democrats have, if anything, shown that they can be extremely malleable in any and all matters should the right offer be made. And it doesn't hurt that they are possessing of so very little character as to have considered as being completely nonexistent. They mouth concern over certain issues but it's all nothing more than lip service that makes a mockery of the trust placed in these people by those who chose, and continue to choose, to support them and to vote for them. All of them have repeatedly shown how easy it is for them to simply be bought off which is just another example of their total lack of commitment to anything of real substance and that might actually be beneficial to the American people. It is this type of behavior that reveals to all who care to look that these individuals possess nothing that even remotely resembles having any kind of core values. They are totally lacking any degree of honesty and are constantly plotting, conniving and scheming new and ever more effective ways to subvert the will of the people and to shred our Constitution. They are driven by one thing and only one thing, the accumulation of political power and the ability to dictate to us how it is that we must all go about living our daily lives. I can only hope that all those who chose to vote for these corrupt and power-hungry crooks aren't getting very much sleep these days out of fear of what it is that they have not only brought upon themselves, but the rest of us as well. The blame can easily be placed directly on them because all the signs were there, now the rest of us are left wondering what will be left of our country for our children to enjoy. I simply cannot understand what it was that was running through their little pea brains that made them think that it was such a great thing to vote for those who now very tightly hold the reigns of power. What was it about this teleprompter reading thug politician that caused them to lose complete control of their mental faculties, possessing some sort of a momentary loss of reason long enough to vote for someone who quite literally advocates that the government is better equipped to control absolutely everything. It is truly scary that that many people could have thought that this was such a good idea. Have we become that enamored with our government's ability to control anything?

Since day one of the Barry administration, this country has been going in one direction and one direction only, straight freakin down. We are spirally downward out of control and at a rate of speed that should cause anyone with an ounce of brainpower some very deep concern. Barry has our economy lying in virtual ruin, he is committed to the reducing of our abilities to defend ourselves against a whole host of enemies, new and old, he has amassed a debt that stretches so far into the future that my great-great-great grand kids will still be working to pay it off and now he wants to assume total control over our ability to obtain healthcare. He advocates a desire to bring about massive tax increases and 7 dollar a gallon gas as he continues with his vendetta against, and the essentially stabbing in the back of, those that make up middleclass "working" Americans. My God, as it stands now, after gas and groceries I barely have any disposable income left during each and every month! It is very hard for anyone to make the claim that this was not his plan from the very beginning and for him or any of his minions to be claiming otherwise is simply laughable. With the determination displayed and the urgency with which he is going about inflicting that which he has been so busy "reading" speeches about, it is hard to come to any other conclusion than that he is anything other than a devoted Socialist out to "remake" America. Just as he promised he would during his campaign, I might add. We were forewarned that this was his intent and not just by any number of talking heads, but by his very own words in speech after speech. Throughout his campaign he repeatedly described to us his vision of what America should be and yet he still won the election. The picture he painted was one of an America that is so very far removed from what it was intended to be. But, it is much more in line with the vision he that he shares with his buddy Hugo Chavez, that America should be, much more like some third rate dictatorship and one which is nothing more than the equivalent of Hugo's Venezuela.

Rep. Boehner: "We Are In Crunch Time....The Debate Is Far From Over."

Andrew Cray
Staff Writer

With two weeks to go until President Obama's unofficial deadline, the pressure is mounting. Earlier this week, The New Patriot Journal heard rumblings of the possible vote on the healthcare bill in the House of Representatives scheduled for March 11th . When asked by the NPJ, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), denied such a report stating there would not be a vote this week. He also expressed doubts that the Democrats had secured enough votes to pass the bill if a vote were to be held this week. “If they had the votes, they would have done this last June, October, November, or December.”

When asked about the discrepancy between the CBO numbers that the Obama administration and Democrats use in comparison to what the Republicans use, Rep. Boehner responded, “Paul Ryan has better numbers than anyone on the CBO. He has made effective points about double counting, ten years of tax increases and six years of actual benefits .They say savings will kick in during the second 10 years. Those are 'pipe dreams.'”

Democrats have tried making their case on healthcare by using the CBO's findings that state Obama's legislation would reduce the federal budget by $130 billion by the year 2019. However, the CBO does state that “the government as a whole would be doing much less additional saving.” The report also finds the savings that President Obama continually refers to can only be received by the government once, and therefore cannot be set aside to pay for future Medicare spending or spending on any other legislation or programs as he is claiming would be done when the bill passes. This finding validates Paul Ryan's claim that the administration was indeed “double counting.”

The debate is far from over. 57% of the American people believe that the health care bill will hurt the economy, and 53% of Americans oppose the bill altogether.Media pundits have called for Obama to change course and move toward the center;to move his agenda toward jobs, but it seems like Obama is swinging for the fences. Healthcare will make or break Obama's presidency, and no one knows that better than Boehner; who recommends holding town hall meetings, rallies, calling your local congressmen and women, or anything to have your voice heard. Boehner has been talking to governors all over the country, citing that most states don't have the budgets to accommodate such a large piece of legislation that will be mandated by the federal government. Boehner references the State of Virginia, who recently passed a bill making the federal mandate illegal in that state if the bill were to pass. According to Rep. Boehner there are 39 Democrats that voted against the healthcare bill the first time around, and he believes there are another 25 that are on the fence this time.

“As far as reconciliation, let's kill it [the bill] in the House. Then we won't have to worry about reconciliation.”

The progressive desire for usefulness is often at odds with the progressive quest for democracy. As we have seen with President Obama viva his numerous Czar appointments: He has taken the power out of the hands of elected officials and then placed that power in the hands of professional administrators (Czars) which has severely squelched the voice of the people in government decision making. In a Republic we elect our government representatives but in the progressive arena many of our representatives are selected by the progressive leadership. If this current group of progressives are able to centralized healthcare decision-making in Washington DC they will have significantly reduced the decision making power of businesses, medical providers, and many of our elected representatives. This progressive president has made government more distant and isolated from the people he serves, which is the textbook definition of a progressive shortcoming. Progressive elite innuendos concerning the healthcare bill is that they know what the people need better than we know what we need for ourselves. So, they will force this medicine down our throats because they know what’s best for us and once their Bill is in place we “surfs” will then appreciate them thinking for us. Then again, maybe not!

I'm going to be honest right away: I didn't join because I want to support the movement. I joined because I'm a political moderate, so naturally I'm fascinated/confused by ideologies or movements that are more extreme than your run-of-the-mill politicos.

In being a moderate, I value a mixture of solutions, not ones that are entirely liberal or conservative. I've only been on this earth for 23 years, but one thing I'm almost sure is that black or white mentality towards issues never solves any problems, and that the best policies and practices out there are a combination of positions.

Psychologists, such as Piaget, tell us there are four stages of cognitive development, the last of which of formal operational thought, which means that people can now use deductive and abstract reasoning without concrete objects set before them. However, a fifth stage has been added recently, called post-formal operational thought, which means that one has developed the ability to take a thesis (their perspective) and the antithesis (opposing perspective) and make synthesis, which is combining two seemingly contradictory positions into a working solution.

I say all of this to make the point that this new movement has yet to manifest the desire to find accurate solutions over their own solutions. Politicians are chided for attempting to be bipartisan (whatever the real intention may be) because movements like these do not encourage our leaders to work together.

I find that often I'm disagreeing with everybody when it comes to politics, because I will always end up taking the opposing political view to ensure that someone who is very extreme in their ideology is trying to consider how the other side thinks. So i will do that now. Have you ever really wondered why liberals want the healthcare bill passed? Is it really that they want to bring socialism into this country? Or is it some other reason? Can someone advocate for the state to step into an industry to some extent (not fully of course) but still believe in and support a capitalist system?

You might try considering what it's like to have no health insurance. Take me for example. Knowing how just about every insurance company will deny people for just any kind of pre-existing condition, I'm pretty sure that my ADD, which I take meds for, and my panic attacks, which I take meds for, will get me the axe. I've tried before to get health insurance when a took a semester off to work, and could no longer be covered by my parents insurance. I applied for an individual plan to the same company that had been insuring me for my WHOLE LIFE through my dad's work plan, but they wouldn't cover me on any of their available plans because I had used a muscle relaxant ONCE in the last six months. Other insurance companies wouldnt cover me because they knew I had been denied once already. The only reason I have health insurance now is my parents shelled out an amount three times as much as my usual monthly premium to keep me covered under COBRA until I went back to school and get covered again. i graduate in two months, and if I can't find a job that provides insurance, what do I do? There's no f-ing way an insurance company will cover me on an individual plan with my ADD and rare panic attacks. My story is a very small example of a larger issue.

You say you don't want socialized medicine. Do you consider what the alternative is? HMO's. The people who will drop you for any reason, who reward their staff for denying the most applicants, and will raise premiums whenever they feel like it.

We know socialized medicine doesn't work, but we know that HMO's screw over a lot of people too. Why not find a middle-ground on this issue?

It appears to me that this new healthcare bill does that. It leaves alone the insurance people already have. That's 80% of the populace. You will not be touched by the government. It simply reigns in insurance companies and doesn't allow them to screw people over anymore. You might say that is too much gov't regulation, but would you seriously defend the practices of HMO's these days? They will not create death panels (that was never in the bill), they will not make any medical decisions for you (your insurance stays as your insurance), and they are simply providing a safety net for the poorest in our country. No socialism, and no greedy HMO's.

I hope I at least spurred some thinking for any of you. I hope you will no longer depend on posters with sound-bite rejections of healthcare. Please have sopme real discussions on this. I might encourage to take an entire day where you don't take any time to argue your own perspective to anyone, but simply to listen to someone who has an opposing view than your own, and I mean REALLY listen. No rebuttals, no talk-back, just listen.

Next time you have a rally, or even a spare moment, talk to your legislators that support the bill and letthem talk the whole time asd to why they support it. You might learn something. In fact, go find someone who can;t get health insurance. Ask them what they fear more: a socialist takeover or their uninsured child falling off of their bike and getting injured?

Contacting Our Elected Leaders

I've just sent emails, again, to my Representative and my Senators, as well as to President Obama. I've lost track of how many I've sent asking them to stop the health care bill. They aren't listening. I just get a form email in return, that says something like, "Thank you for contacting my office. Your opinion is very important to me." BLAH,BLAH, BLAH! If my opinion was important, they wouldn't still be trying to force this bill down our throats!

WAKING UP AND TIME FOR ACTION

I'm so upset what is going on in our country. I decided to do something about it today and join this blog/website.

I'm interested in participating in a tea party rally or meeting. March 18th is NEXT WEEK and the word is that Americans need to speak up loudly to let Washington know we still don't like the Health care bill.

Any plans to take a group of tea party alums and decend upon Washington?

Final Health Care Letter to my Blue Dog

March 4, 2010

Dear Congressman Holden,

I am writing to express my absolute disgust at the President's arrogance and disregard for the wishes of the American people. I am hoping you are one of the few voices of reason in Washington right now. I, like you and our other elected officials, wear many hats every day. I am a mother of young children, a wife, a daughter of aging parents, an employee, a volunteer, a Christian... I am an American. And I have to tell you, like many other Americans I have come to know and call my dear friends this past year, I am tired of having to do the many jobs I am responsible for AND take on a what has become the equivalent of an unpaid, part-time job, making sure our President and others that were elected to represent us in Washington are doing theirs. I have to tell you, I don't think many are.

I want you, as my representative, to know that I DO NOT SUPPORT this 2,000+ page monstrosity known as the Health Care bill. This year long show by the President and his cronies is not about giving the uninsured immediate help. It is about power, control, money and the fundamental transformation of a country that didn't need to be fundamentally transformed. If anything, this country needs to go back to the principles that it was founded on and that have set it apart from the rest of the world. I know, as well as you do, that this is about putting in place an infrastructure of ultimate government control. And Americans know who this President answers to – Andy Stern, SEIU & special interests. I have disagreed before with administrations in the past, but never before have I felt such an absolute disdain for the wishes of the people. This is unacceptable.

I am pleased that we in Hershey were able to count on you before to vote “no” to the House version of the health care bill. I am hoping and praying that you still hold the same conviction and will again vote “no” for the Senate version that will come up for a vote in the House. I am a member of Asamom.org, a network of principled mothers and grandmothers and guardians – we are 60,000 strong, and there are many other groups just like us. Nancy Pelosi is dead wrong about any of this opposition being Astroturf.. we are as grassroots as it gets. And we are watching all of you.

Thank you for your continued service to our community and our country.

Sincerely,

Now that we see rampant corruption on both Democratic and Republican partys, this could not hightlight ny point any further to not join forces with the GOP.
